Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- names
- phone numbers
- email addresses
- mailing addresses
- job titles
- contact preferences
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment Data. If you make purchases, we may collect data necessary to process your payment through Stripe, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number) and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Stripe stores all payment data. You may find their privacy notice link(s) here: https://stripe.com/privacy.
We may also use other payment processors like Square (Square Privacy notice: https://squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy), Hotmart (Privacy notice: https://hotmart.com/es/legal/privacidad-de-datos), or any other payment processor that could help us improve our service to our customers. The payment processor stores all the information related to the credit or debit card, or ACH account used in the payment through any of these payment processors. Growth Institute doesn´t store any credit card information.
All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information). Still, it may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical details. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
The information we collect includes:
- Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called "crash dumps"), and hardware settings).
- Device Data. We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
- Location Data. We collect location data such as information about your device's location, which can be either precise or imprecise. How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can opt out of allowing us to collect this information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling your Location setting on your device. However, if you choose to opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Services.
Information collected from other sources
In Short: We may collect limited data from public databases, marketing partners, and outside sources.
To enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing, offers, and services to you and update our records, we may obtain information about you from other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, data providers, and from other third parties. This information includes mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, intent data (or user behavior data), Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, social media profiles, social media URLs, and custom profiles, for purposes of targeted advertising and event promotion.
- RECORDINGS AT EVENTS, WORKSHOPS, LIVE COURSES, INTERVIEWS, AND RELATED ACTIVITIES
In Short: What we record. As part of our Services, we may record or photograph in‑person and virtual sessions, including video, audio, screenshots, chat/Q&A, and related content.
Authorization for recording and use of image/voice. As part of the Services, Growth Institute may record or photograph in-person and virtual activities, including video, audio, screenshots, chat/Q&A, and related content. With your express consent when registering (acceptance box) you authorize Growth Institute to fix, reproduce, edit for clarity/duration without altering the meaning, communicate, make available and distribute said recordings exclusively for (i) promotion of Growth Institute brand and services, (ii) promotion of events, workshops and/or courses, and (iii) educational purposes (for educational use, such as granting replay access to registered participants and for internal evaluation or staff development).
Recordings are not sold or transferred to unaffiliated third parties; they may be processed by authorized service providers who handle hosting, editing, storage, or distribution under confidentiality and data processing agreements..
How we use recordings and photographs. We may use the recordings and photographs only for: (i) promotion of Growth Institute brand and services, (ii) promotion of events, workshops, courses and/or training programs, and (iii) for educational purposes (for educational use, such as granting replay access to registered participants and for internal evaluation or staff development, educational materials in PowerPoint, Canva, or other tools). We can edit for length/clarity without altering the meaning.
No sale or transfer to outside third parties. Recordings and photographs are not sold or transferred to unaffiliated third parties. We may share on a limited basis with providers/processors who host, edit, store or distribute content under confidentiality and processor agreements.
If you prefer not to be recorded:
- Tell us at check‑in for in-person events so we can seat you in a non‑filming zone or provide an alternative.
- For virtual sessions, turn off video and audio, avoid the chat, or ask support about anonymization/blurring where feasible.
- You may request removal or blurring from promotional materials where practical.
Rights and conservation. We retain recordings only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. You may exercise your rights concerning recordings and photographs under Section 10.

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with the law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
- To deliver and facilitate the delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
- To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
- To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
- To fulfill and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges through the Services.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual’s vital interests, such as to prevent harm.

- HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it. If this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
- HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
- DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or the parent or guardian of such a minor, and you consent to such minor’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to delete such data from our records promptly. Withdrawing your consent: If we rely on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you can withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below or by updating your preferences.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, replying “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to the SMS messages that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages necessary for your account's administration and use, respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Account Information

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete it and the information in it from our active databases. Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. You can usually choose to set your browser to remove and reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services. - CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized at this stage. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
- U.S, STATE PRIVACY LAW ADDENDUM
This Addendum supplements the Notice for residents of certain U.S. states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws. The summary below groups common rights and highlights notable state‑specific features. Implementation on our site/app includes a “Your Privacy Choices” control and support for recognized opt‑out signals where required.
Common rights across most states: access, correction, deletion, portability; opt‑out of sales, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; appeal mechanism; sensitive data subject to consent (or limited uses); privacy notice and data minimization obligations.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
Rights: know/access (including categories), delete, correct, portability; opt‑out of sale or sharing for cross‑context behavioral advertising; limit use/disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information.
Honor opt‑out preference signals (e.g., browser-based) and provide “Your Privacy Choices” link.
Methods: at least two intake methods; agent/authorized representative process.
If you reside in California, you have the right to know/access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, to limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) to what’s necessary to provide requested services, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may also use an authorized agent to submit requests.
How to exercise your rights
Use Your Privacy Choices (footer link) to opt out of sale/sharing and, where applicable, to Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information. You can also submit access/correction/deletion/portability requests via our webform or at finance@growthinstitute.com. We’ll verify your request and respond within required timelines. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (e.g., GPC) where required.
Our practices
- Selling/Sharing: We do not sell personal information for money. We may share identifiers and internet activity data for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out at any time via sending an email to finance@growthinstitute.com
- SPI: We do not use or disclose SPI beyond permitted purposes or we provide a Limit SPI control if/when we do.
- Notice at Collection: We disclose the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes, retention periods, whether we sell/share, and categories of recipients at or before collection (see our Privacy Notice).
- Minors: We do not knowingly sell/share data of consumers under 16; where applicable, we obtain required opt-in consent.
California Privacy Protection Agency
Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83)
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. If that changes, you may request details once per year at finance@growthinstitute.com. (This “Shine the Light” right exists alongside the CCPA/CPRA rights above.)
Colorado (CPA)
- Rights: access, correction, deletion, portability; opt‑out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling.
- Recognizes Universal Opt‑Out Mechanisms (UOOMs); we detect and honor recognized signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) for Colorado residents.
- Sensitive data generally requires consent.
Texas (TDPSA)
- Rights: access, correction, deletion, portability; opt‑out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling.
- Duties: clear privacy notices; reasonable security; data minimization (adequate, relevant, reasonably necessary).
Connecticut (CTDPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Utah (UCPA), Iowa (ICDPA), Indiana (IDPSA), Montana (MCDPA), Tennessee (TIPA), Oregon (OCPA), Delaware (DPDPA), New Jersey (NJDPA), New Hampshire (NHDPA), Minnesota (MCDPA‑MN), Nebraska (NDPA), Maryland (MODPA), Florida (FDBR)
- Rights (generally): access, correction, deletion, portability; opt‑out of sales/targeted ads/profiling; appeal rights; sensitive data subject to consent (Utah: limited).
Notable features:
- Oregon (OCPA): consumers may request a list of specific third parties to whom personal data was disclosed (beyond categories).
- Florida (FDBR): targeted to larger “Big Tech” entities with unique provisions; effective July 1, 2024.
- New Jersey / New Hampshire / Delaware / Iowa / Nebraska / Minnesota / Maryland: effective dates and thresholds vary; we apply the most protective standards that reasonably cover your request.
We update our internal mappings as laws evolve and will adjust this Addendum and site controls accordingly.
Exercising state‑specific rights

Non‑discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights, except as permitted for bona fide loyalty or similar programs where disclosures are provided.
Notice at Collection (California)
At or before collection, we disclose categories of personal information, purposes, retention periods, whether we sell/share, categories of recipients, and Sensitive PI handling. Retention aligns with Section 7 above.
